EXAMPLES OF EMBELLISHMENTS USED ON CARDS

Creating this Card
First, I used the Spotted Dog embellishment (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=23200334) and matted it to a piece of yellow vertical striped scrapbook paper. Next, I trimmed it down to frame it perfectly. Next I cut a strip of square primary colored scrapbook paper an inch wide. Plaid paper was taped to a card front and I added the vertical strip on the left side, about 3/4 of an inch from the edge. Finally, I centered the Spotted Dog in the left upper corner of my card.

How to use embellishments

When I first began scrapbooking, I spent a lot of time working on getting my pictures on the pages. Getting the stories down onto the page was the most important part of scrapbooking, but over time that changed. Getting the pages to become part of the story became a very important aspect of my creativity. I was in search for easy ways to make my pages cute without overtaking the pictures. If you have an example of simple embellishments on cards or scrapbook pages, I would love to see them.
